The history of the Woodward family is closely tied to the history of Fresno and the history of the library at Fresno State. In 2007 O. James Woodward III recorded a two-part oral history detailing the history and genealogy of the Woodward family and their relationship with the Fresno area. A follow up oral history with O. James Woodward III was conducted in 2015.
