Central Valley Southeast Asian Successful Voices is an oral history project that was conducted by Dr. Jenny Banh of the Department of Anthropology, completed in 2017. It features interviews with thirty eight people of Southeast Asian descent, largely 1.5 to 2nd generation Southeast Asian Americans who have been successful in academics and their careers. The interviews discuss challenges growing up, navigating different cultures, experiencing racism and macro and microaggressions, advice for future generations of Southeast Asian Americans and suggestions for tools that can help those future generations succeed.
